Burn Camps wouldn’t be possible without the dedication, energy, and compassion of our volunteers. Each summer, volunteers play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for children and youth recovering from burn injuries, helping them explore, play, and be themselves.
Volunteering at burn camp is more than giving your time—it’s an opportunity to:
– Make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and families affected by burn injuries.
– Provide mentorship and support as campers build confidence, resilience, and independence.
– Celebrate courage and individuality, helping campers see that they can thrive after trauma.
– Connect with other volunteers, including hospital staff, firefighters, adult burn survivors, and members of the community who share your passion for making a positive impact.
To ensure the safety of our campers, all volunteers are required to undergo Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Checks. Record checks are valid for up to two years from the current camp year. Please ensure you review identification requirements thoroughly. Application costs will be reimbursed upon submission of the appropriate receipt. Please visit the following links below to complete:
