Established in the late 1980s, Burn Camp Phoenix is a dedicated camp for children and youth aged 6-17yrs on the path to recovery from burn or frostbite injuries. We welcome campers from across Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, and Nunavut who have been treated at the Children’s Hospital at Health Sciences Centre.
Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where campers and volunteers find solace, support, and the courage to heal. Together, we create lasting memories and foster a sense of community that transcends physical boundaries. A core part of this experience is the importance of representation—giving children and youth the opportunity to see others with scars and differing abilities thriving at every stage of life, including as adult burn survivors. These meaningful connections help normalize differences, build confidence, and inspire hope for the future.
Burn Camp Phoenix is thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of young burn survivors. Campers enjoy fun outdoor activities, games, and meaningful psychosocial supports—all within a setting that fosters resilience and belonging.
This year, Burn Camp Phoenix will be held on August 24-28, 2026 at Camp Arnes, Manitoba. Register for camp today!
